ELECTION OF CHAIRPERSON AND DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON

SUMMARY
Ms H Bogopane was elected as Chairperson and Mr B Willem as Deputy Chairperson.

 

MINUTES
Mr Johan Vermeulen, the Committee Secretary, said the sole agenda was the election of a chairperson and deputy chairperson. Mr Vermeulen invited nominations for the Chairperson. Ms Sophia Maine nominated Ms H Bogopane of the ANC, who was not present at the meeting, and there were no further nominations. Mr Vermeulen announced that Ms Bogopane had been elected as Chairperson. He invited nominations for the Deputy Chairperson and Mr B Willem from the ANC was nominated and elected as no further nominations came forth.

Mr Willem thanked the house for their support in electing him as Deputy Chairperson. He said that with their support he would do what he is supposed to do.

The meeting then adjourned.
