SUMMARY
Both Bills were passed without amendment by the committee.
MINUTES
Eight provinces indicated that they were in favour of the Bills. The Western Cape noted that they were in favour of the general principles of the Bills, but they wished to include certain amendments. The committee said that they would vote against these amendments.
The Chairperson read the motion of desirability for both bills and it was agreed to by the members. The Chairperson then read the report for both bills. The committee agreed to this too.
On a final note the Chairperson said that they would invite the Minister of Public Works or the Deputy Minister of Public Works to brief the committee. This would possibly happen next week.
