SUMMARY
The members were given the final working document of the Administrative Justice Bill (AJU67) as well as a document on the concerns raised by the portfolio committee at its meeting on 7 and 8 December 1999 on the Bill (AJU66). The committee reconvenes on 10 January and voting takes place on 21 January 2000.

Mr Labuschagne, the drafter, addressed the committee on the amendments to the Administrative Justice Bill which incorporated the views and suggestions of members. There were a few areas which still needed some amendments, namely those relating to domestic remedies and how the Bill related to other legislation. Members were asked to consider possible amendments in relation to these issues over the recess.
