PREPARATION FOR BUDGET VOTE (CLOSED MEETING)

SUMMARY
The Committee had tasked Mr A van Zyl, a researcher at the University of Stellenbosch, to investigate the budget vote for the Treasury and to compile a report and review of the Department's activities. Mr Van Zyl then presented his findings on StatsSA, SARS and the National Treasury. In his reports, he highlighted areas for concern in the budget and suggested questions that the committee should pose to the National Treasury when they addressed the Committee the following day. This preparatory meeting was closed.
