The Committee adopted the Communal Land Rights Bill, without effecting any amendments.

Adoption of Bill
This meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Prof D du Toit, Dr S Sibanda, Director: Tenure Reform Services and Dr C Brocker, Director: Legal Services.

The Chair reminded Members that the Committee had received a comprehensive briefing on the Bill on 9 February 2004. He asked if there were any questions or comments from the Committee. He noted that no questions were raised by Members, and proceeded to read the Motion of Desirability to which the Committee agreed. The Chair put the entire Bill to the Committee, and noted that the Committee agreed to the Bill. He read out the Committee Report on the Bill, to which Members agreed.

The Communal Land Rights Bill was passed by the Committee unanimously without effecting any amendments.

The meeting was adjourned.
