Meeting Summary
The Committee met to elect an acting chairperson to preside over the committee meetings until the chairperson returns from her overseas trip. Mr A Williams (ANC) was elected as acting chairperson.

Opening Remarks
The Committee Secretary welcomed and thanked Committee members for their attendance. He explained that the reason for the election of an acting chairperson is due to the absence of the chairperson who is overseas on international business.
Election of Acting Chairperson
The Committee Secretary, called for the nomination or suggestion of names to be elected for the position of Acting Chairperson.
Mr S Mbuyane (ANC) proposed Mr A Williams (ANC) to be appointed as Acting Chairperson.
This was seconded by Ms P Mantashe (ANC), Ms C Theko (ANC) and Mr D Mahlobo (ANC).
There was no opposition for the nomination or appointment.
The Committee Secretary declared Mr A Williams as the acting chairperson until the chairperson returns.
Mr Williams assumed the position of Acting Chairperson as elected by committee members.
He declared the meeting adjourned.
