SUMMARY
Before deciding to postpone the meeting till Monday because a quorum was not constituted, the Committee adopted the process to be followed in appointing the new National Youth Commissioners.

MINUTES
The Acting Chair noted that there were not sufficient Members present to constitute a quorum, and the Committee would now become a Subcommittee.

He noted that Members agreed that the meeting would now be adjourned and postponed to Monday morning. At that meeting the shortlisting of candidates would be formally discussed, and the Subcommittee would then report its findings to the full Committee no later than Wednesday 21 May 2003. The interviews could then commence on Friday 23 May 2003.

The Acting Chair noted that Members agreed to the process for the hearings.

He urged all political parties to be present throughout this process.

The meeting was adjourned.
