Meeting report

Committee business
The Chairperson asked Members if they preferred to discuss the work of the researchers on issues of Annual Performance Plans (APPs) on the day of the meeting or to have a 30-minute working lunch a day before the sitting of the Committee so as not to spend more time during the meeting.

Members agreed to the latter.

Mr Singh suggested that researchers should try to be objective in their reporting and ensure they did not provide their subjective input in their research documents.

Draft Report on the Parliament of the RSA’s 2015/16 Annual Report

The Chairperson took the Members through the document, page by page.

The draft report was adopted with minor amendments.

The Committee agreed to meet again a week after 16 November 2016.

The Chairperson took the Members through the document, page by page.

Mr M Waters (DA) proposed an amendment to state that the Secretary to Parliament did not give the Committee an answer with regard to the number of vehicles bought and who had access to them.

The minutes were adopted with amendments.

The meeting was adjourned.
