The Committee met to adopt its minutes and final report on Probing Violence against Foreign Nationals.
The report was adopted, without amendments, with the DA reserving its right to vote.
The Committee also adopted a host of minutes on work it had concluded on Probing Violence against Foreign Nationals, without any substantive amendments.
Adoption of Committee Report
Co-chairperson Bhengu welcomed everyone to the meeting noting that it would be a very short meeting as the agenda items had already been finalised the previous day and that Members had flights already booked for departure.
She then asked that the Committee go through the draft report for inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
The majority of the Committee Members were satisfied with the draft report.
Co-chairperson Bhengu asked for a motion to adopt the draft final report.
Mr D Gumede (ANC) moved for the adoption of the report without amendments.
Ms G Manapole (ANC: Northern Cape) seconded the motion.
Mr R Chance (DA) asked it to be put on record that the DA had reserved its right to adopt the report.
The report was adopted, without amendments, with the DA reserving its right to adopt.
Adoption of Committee Minutes
Co-chairperson Motlashuping then led the Committee through the set of outstanding minutes which were for the dates: 4 and 25 June; 4 and 25 August; 10, 11, 13 and 17 November.
The minutes were adopted without amendments.
The meeting was adjourned.
