SUMMARY
The Committee effected some technical and structural amendments to the Explosives Bill to the wording of Clause 23 of the Bill. This followed Pyrotechnics of the Guild of South Africa contention regarding the prohibition to the public to have explosive documents on their persons even though their jobs relate to such. The ACDP questioned the constitutionality of Clause 23 of the Bill.

The Bill was, however, passed unanimously with amendments.

The Chairperson read the Committee report on the Explosives Bill. The Committee unanimously adopted the report.
