Committee Report on the General Intelligence Laws Amendment Bill [B25-2011]
The Chairperson tabled the report for consideration.

Members changed the date of the report to 16 April 2013.

Mr D Maynier (DA) proposed the motion for the adoption of the report.  The motion was seconded by Mr A Maziya (ANC). The Committee adopted the report, as amended.

Adoption of General Intelligence Laws Amendment Bill [B25A-2011]
The Committee authorised the State Law Adviser to correct minor spelling or grammatical errors in the Aversion of the Bill. 

Mr F Bhengu (ANC) proposed the motion for the adoption of the reprinted version of the Bill.  The motion was seconded by Mr M Sonto (ANC). 

The Committee adopted the B version of the Bill.

Consideration of Outstanding Committee Minutes
The minutes of the meetings held on 22 February, 26 February, 5 March, 19 March, 26 March and 27 March 2013 were adopted by the Committee.  The Chairperson would sign the minutes of the meetings held on 12 March and 15 March 2013 as a quorum of Members was not present.

The Committee authorised the Chairperson to correct minor spelling and grammatical errors in the minutes where necessary.

The Chairperson thanked the Members of the Committee, the representatives of the Ministry of State Security and the State Law Adviser for their participation in the processing of the Bill.
