PC Water: Outstanding Committee Minutes: adoption

Meeting report

The Chairperson stated that the Committee would consider and adopt outstanding minutes. He warned the Committee Secretary about holding on too long to the minutes of meetings.

Ms M Wenger (DA) proposed that minutes should not wait for more than one month.

Mr J Skosana (ANC) said that minutes contained issues that needed urgent attention. It was therefore very important for the minutes to be generated and adopted urgently as Parliament had to deliver to the citizenry.

Outstanding Committee Minutes

Committee Minutes Dated 24 January 2012
The Chairperson led the Committee through a page-by-page consideration of the minutes.

A Member of the Committee raised concerns regarding the unusual nature of the style and format used to compile the minutes. He raised the concern because the minutes of the 24, 25, and the 26 of January 2013 were in one document.

Mr Skosana moved for the adoption of the minutes. The motion was seconded by Dr S Huang (ANC).

The minutes were adopted without amendments.

Dr Huang moved for an adoption and Ms Wenger seconded the motion, the 28 February 2012 minutes were adopted with minor amendments.

Ms Wenger proposed a minor grammatical error related to the heading.

Mr Skhosana suggested for a minor amendment to be made under strategic plan.

 The 6^th March 2012 minutes were adopted with minor amendments.
