Opening Remarks
The Chairperson noted that with a majority of Committee members missing, there was a question as to whether the meeting should continue as planned. The consensus was that the meeting should proceed.

Deliberation of the Committee’s Fourth Quarter Expenditure Report for the 2010/11 financial year
The Committee decided to perform a through review of the draft fourth quarter expenditure report for the 2010/11 financial year and make grammatical and grammar corrections in order to ensure that the quality of the final report was fit for adoption and fit for publication in the public domain.

Mr Phelelani Dlomo, Committee Researcher, read through each line of the report and the members suggested grammatical corrections, word choice edits, syntax corrections and ensured consistency and uniformity in the document.

The members were able to edit all of Part A of the draft report as well as the recommendations and committee findings section, but due to time constraints were unable to edit Part B of the draft report, but agreed to finish editing Part B of the draft and approve the report during a meeting in the subsequent parliamentary term.

The Chairperson closed the meeting.
