Second-Term Committee Programme
Ms Mandie Balie, Committee Secretary, presented the Committee’s second-term programme. She indicated that the programme would run from 24 May to 1 July 2011 and would put an emphasis on the Military Veterans (MV) Bill. She then read out the agenda item for each specific date.

The Chairperson suggested that the Committee meet on 26 May 2011 to continue with its work on the MV Bill.

Several Members objected to this suggestion, citing that they would be attending party caucuses on that day.

Ms Balie agreed that this would not be a suitable date as it was a caucus day. Also, the Extended Public Committees (EPCs) would take place later that day.

It was unanimously agreed that the meeting would instead take place on 31 May 2011.

The Committee approved the programme.

The meeting was adjourned.
