Report on the Strategic Plan and Budget Vote of the Department
The Chairperson tabled the report for consideration. He noted that all the important aspects of the Department’s strategic plan and budget presentation had been captured in the report. Members were requested to go through the report and check if any changes needed to be made or if any information was omitted.

Members were satisfied and the report was approved with no changes.

Report on Orientation and Annual Operation plan Workshop March 2011
The Committee considered the report and thereafter adopted it with no amendments.

Other Matters
The Chairperson suggested that the Committee had to have a meeting with the Department the following week about the uprising in Swaziland. He also reminded Members about the Committee training on public diplomacy that was being offered by the Department on 19-20 April 2011. The training would be conducted in Parliament.
