SUMMARY
The Committee adopted the 2002 Programme.

MINUTES
The Chairperson, Mr P J Gomomo, briefed the Committee on the adoption of the 2002 Committee Programme.

Mr PJ Gomomo (ANC) promoted the adoption of the programme as it reflects what was decided upon in the recent workshop. Concerning page one of the proposed programme he pointed out that Committee Members should note that on 19 March 2002 the Committee shall be briefed by PSC on the implementation of the Citizens Forum. After Committee Members went through the document it was proposed that the 2002 programme be accepted.

Mr B Bell (DP) asked whether the entire Committee would be asked to attend the various Committee site visits in the provinces.

Mr Gomomo said it would be important for all Members to attend.

Mr MR Sikakane (ANC) asked whether the Department would brief the Committee on the proposed budget.

Mr Gomomo assured the Member that adequate time would be set aside for the presentation of the budget by the Department of Public Service and Administration.

Mr Gomomo stated that the Committee accepted and endorsed the 2002 programme.

The meeting was adjourned.
