Meeting Summary
The Committee met two consider and adopt its Eastern Cape Oversight Report as well as its Committee Vision and Mission Report. Both Reports we adopted after minor corrections were made to them.

Adoption of Eastern Cape Oversight Report
The Chairperson opened the floor for Member’s corrections and recommendations.
The Committee made minor corrections and adopted the report.
Adoption of Committee Vision and Mission Report
The Chairperson tabled the Report for consideration and read out the new vision and Mission Statement of the Committee. The vision declared that the Committee would be responsive to the needs of the people of the country through promoting public participation, processing legislation and undertaking oversight responsibility over the Department of Public work and its entities.
The Mission Statement declared that the Committee would conduct effective oversight and scrutiny of the Department of Public Works and its entities in the implementation of its mandate and to strengthen Regulations within the environment.
The Chairperson proposed an addition to the Mission Statement to include a commitment by the Committee to further coordinate its conferring responsibilities with relevant Stakeholders.
Members agreed to the amendment and approved the Report.
The meeting was adjourned.
