MINUTES
The Committee met to consider and adopt its minutes and report on the Department's Annual Report and financial statements of its public entities. The Committee adopted both the minutes and the report with amendments.

The Committee proceeded to consider its programme for the fourth quarter (Jan-March 2006). It was agreed that the discussion and consideration of the Committee's Annual Report would take place on 31 January 2006. The Committee would conduct a workshop with the Department on their programmes and activities for the year 2006 on 1 February 2006. There was no further discussion on the rest of the programme.
 
Ms D van der Walt (DA) congratulated the SABC for the good work of hosting a festival, though the Committee had not been invited.
