The Western Cape Provincial Parliament's Standing Committee on Social Development invites stakeholders and interested parties to submit written input and attend a public hearing on the Western Cape Laws Repeal Bill [B 5–2019]

Public hearings will take place on Tuesday 21 July 2020 at 9am via a virtual platform
The purpose of the Bill is to repeal the Aged Persons Act, 1967 (Act 81 of 1967), and the National Welfare Act, 1978 (Act 100 of 1978), in so far as they apply in or have been assigned to the Province of the Western Cape. These laws are obsolete and are of no application in the Province.
