Promotion of Access to Information Amendment Bill [B 20-2019]

The Select Committee on Security and Justice invites you to submit written submissions on the Promotion of Access to Information Amendment Bill [B 20-2019] (National Assembly– sec 75).

The Promotion of Access to Information Amendment Bill seeks, amongst other matters, to:
▪ Amend the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000, so as to provide for information on the private funding of political parties and independent candidates to be recorded, preserved and made available; and to provide for matters connected therewith.

Please kindly restrict comments to the affected clauses in the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 and the matter the Promotion of Access to Information Amendment Bill seeks to remedy.
