The Department of Justice and Correctional Services has published the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Amendment Bill, 2017, and is asking you to comment.


The Amendment Bill aims to amend the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act, 2004, so as to deal with passive corruption in respect of foreign public officials; to extend the offence of unacceptable conduct relating to ordinary witnesses to include whistle-blowers and members of the accounting profession; to increase the monetary sanctions provided for in the Act; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
