Finance Standing Committee

The Standing Committee of Finance invites you to make comments on the IRBA consultation paper on Mandatory Audit Firm Rotation (MAFR) published on 25 October 2016.

The IRBA is proposing that the registered auditor for a listed company should not serve more than 10 consecutive financial years with eligibility for reappointment only after expiry of at least 5 years.

Written submissions should reach Parliament by 13 February 2016.

Should you want to make oral submissions to the Committee please specifically request this.

If the Committee receives more requests for hearings than it can accommodate on 15 February, it will consider having further hearings.
