The Portfolio Committee on Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation invites you to submit written comments on the National State Enterprises Bill [B1-2024]
The Bill seeks to:
• provide for the development of a strategy for national state enterprises;
• establish the State Asset Management SOC Ltd;
• provide for the State as the sole shareholder of a holding company;
• consolidate the State's shareholdings in national state enterprises;
• provide for the powers of the shareholder on behalf of the State;
• provide for the phased succession of national state enterprises to the holding company;
• provide for the holding company's powers as shareholder of subsidiaries;
• provide for appropriate and effective monitoring and reporting mechanisms over subsidiaries; and other matters connected therewith.
Submissions can be emailed to Ms Mandy Balie at [email protected] by no later than Friday, 14 February 2025.
