The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development invites interested parties to submit written comments on the draft Regulations Relating to Beneficial Ownership Registers and Records of Details of Accountable Institutions, 2023.
The draft regulations are made by the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services in terms of the Trust Property Control Act, 1988 (Act No. 57 of 1988), as amended by the General Laws (Anti-Money Laundering and Combating of Terrorism Financing) Amendment Act, 2022 (Act No. 22 of 2022), and are intended to improve the regulatory framework in order to maintain the integrity of South Africa’s financial system.
Comments on the draft regulations must be submitted before 13 February 2023, marked for the attention of Ms V Letswalo. The contact details are:
