The Western Cape Provincial Parliament’s Standing Committee on Finance, Economic Opportunities and Tourism (the Committee) hereby invites you to submit written and oral submissions on the Public Procurement Bill [B 18B–2023].

The purpose of the Bill is to regulate public procurement; to prescribe a framework within which preferential procurement must be implemented; and to provide for matters connected therewith.

The public hearings are arranged as follows:

Submissions can be emailed to Ms Zaheedah Adams at [email protected] or WhatsApp voice notes and messages (Cell number: 072 993 4631) by no later than 17:00 on Friday 8 March 2024.

Please note: Requests to make verbal presentations at the public hearings must be submitted to the Procedural Officer at least one day before the scheduled public hearing. If you are attending the public hearing at the Cape Town venue, please bring along proof of identification. The deadline for written submissions is 17:00 on Friday 8 March 2024.
